FRISCO, Texas (Aug. 4, 2023) — The USYS National League is excited to welcome 54 clubs into the newly formed Elite 64 Regional League, which will begin play in the 2023-24 season.
The Elite 64 Regional League will feature boys and girls clubs in the 13U through 19U age groups and serve as a club-based second tier to Elite 64 — the National League’s top club-based league platform.
The announced clubs all fall within the Elite 64 Regional League Great Lakes group or the Elite 64 Regional League Midwest group. In the Midwest, the girls group will be split into two divisions — North and South — which will begin league play this month. The Midwest boys may kick off in November and play through the spring. In the Great Lakes, the boys group will be split into two divisions — North and South — and all girls clubs will play in a single division. All Great Lakes groups may begin play in November and will play through the spring.

The Elite 64 Regional League will serve as a proving ground should opportunities open up in Elite 64 within the Great Lakes or Midwest. Elite 64 Regional League teams that finish at the top of the Great Lakes and Midwest groups will have the ability to qualify for the National League Conference Playoffs — giving them the ability to earn their place into the enhanced national event pathway that gives all National League teams the ability to compete toward a common goal — the USYS National Championships. Highly ranked teams may also have the ability to qualify for open slots in the Elite 64 Playoffs.
“We are very excited to work with these clubs in the Elite 64 Regional League and offer opportunities for the players to play meaningful games in a club-based environment,” said Simon Collins, National League Commissioner. “We are confident this platform will provide an excellent test for players and clubs that gives them the ability to achieve short-term and long-term goals within the National League.”
