Competition Format
For both boys and girls, each age group at the National League Semifinals features three pools (Champions, Silver, Wildcard). Teams are placed into the pools based on their performance at their respective quarterfinal event, and all teams play a minimum of three games over three days. Games are primarily scheduled in a tournament/bracket format.
The Champions pool offers teams that highest likelihood of advancing directly to the USYS National Championships. Silver pool teams have the next highest odds of advancing, followed by Wildcard pool teams. With one or more qualifying spots for each pool, every team attending the National League Semifinals enters with a chance to advance to the USYS National Championships.
Please note: Should modified quarterfinal formats result in an altered number of teams advancing to a semifinal event, then the format and advancement criteria for that semifinal event may be modified.
